By using FreeConversion you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short because the service is simple: a free, browser-based PDF tool that never stores your files.
1. The service
FreeConversion provides free online tools for processing PDF files — including compression and merging — directly in your browser using WebAssembly. The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no account required.
2. Your files
All file processing happens locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We have no access to the content of any document you process. You retain full ownership of your files and any output produced.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use FreeConversion to:
- Circumvent any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.
- Automate requests in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
Since processing is client-side, the practical risk here is low — but the restriction applies to the web application and any associated APIs.
4. Disclaimer of warranties
FreeConversion is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times, error-free, or that compression results will meet any specific quality threshold. Always keep a copy of your original files before processing.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeConversion and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data.
6. Third-party services
The site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and uses Google Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
